Home Gurr’own , like all small businesses, are currently experiencing unprecedented challenges. We are focused on keeping our people safe and healthy whilst serving our customers to the best of our abilities.

As the situation unfolds, and government and NHS advice changes, we are continually adapting and putting in place new operational plans for our own staff and working with our friends and other vendors to preserve our service levels.

Our safety controls

As we always have, (prior to the outbreak) we observed a strict policy to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness practices, and we are proud of our 5 Star Hygiene rating.

To help minimise the spread of the virus, we are following the latest Government recommendations and asking any team member with flu-like symptoms to self-isolate for seven days.

Strict cleaning
We will continue to be stringent around hygiene and cleaning regimes including thorough, frequent hand washing and cleaning of the kitchen and office.

Sanitiser station
We have also set up a hand sanitiser station for all staff and have introduced where appropriate the wearing of gloves for all staff

Skype meetings with vendors and customers
Whenever possible, we will be conducting our meetings via Skype, to help minimise risk.

No food interruptions

Nearly all your food and ingredients for your event are locally sourced and therefore we do not envisage any interruptions here. On the rare occasion we have to change your menu we’ll inform you as soon as we know.

Your event

As a company, we are closely monitoring the latest Government and scientific advice. Currently, we will continue to supply and support all of our customer events. However, we understand you may be worried and facing a very difficult decision.

Should you

  1. continue your event,
  2. try to delay your event
  3. or cancel your event.

We’ve always prided ourselves on being and open and honest business and have therefore tried to help you with your options

If you continue your event
If you chose to continue your event, we will work closely with you to help minimise risk to you and your guests. For example, by setting up sanitising stations and helping to reduce guest contact.

If you postpone your event
If you wanted to book another date, this may be possible if we have dates available.
Currently our  re-booking dates are as follows

  • Anytime between October 2020 to May 2021
  • Anytime after October 2021

Currently we are unable to rebook 2020 events for June 2021 to September 2021.  If you wish to re-book please let us know as soon as possible so we can advise and help.

If you cancel your event
If you wished to cancel your wedding or event, please let us know as soon as possible as we can help and advise. However, we’d be unable to refund any payments you have made to date. This is because we have made financial commitments on your behalf to other vendors and suppliers.

Wedding or Event Insurance
If you have wedding or event insurance, it’s possible you may be covered under specific circumstances. However please speak to your insurance company for clarification.

We will keep you updated with any further information and hope that we can support you and your event at this difficult time.
